Why buying at the mandi matters
A lot bought at auction in Unjha has been graded by the market, weighed on the market's scale and paid for through the market's settlement system. That is a very different starting point from a lot bought from a trader's warehouse, and it is why we send our own buyers rather than ordering by phone.
We buy at peak arrivals, when farmers bring in the new crop and the choice of lots is widest. Stock is then moved to Ahmedabad for cleaning, sortex sorting, grinding where needed, and packing.
What that means for you
- Lots chosen by our staff, not by a trader's convenience
- No intermediary margin between the market and your invoice
- Traceability to a market, a season and a lot number for every pack
- Lab certificates for aflatoxin, pesticide residues and heavy metals with every shipment
