How we buy
Direct from the mandi, not from a middleman.
India's agricultural markets are regulated by state APMC committees, and for almost every crop one market handles the lion's share of the trade: Unjha for cumin, Guntur for chilli, Latur for tur dal, Karnal for basmati. We buy at those markets, at auction, during peak arrivals.
That gives our customers two things a trader cannot: the widest choice of lots to grade from, and a price that has not passed through three hands on its way to the container.
