Hindupur, with Tumakuru across the border in Karnataka, is one of the largest tamarind markets in the country.
The Rayalaseema region of Andhra Pradesh and the adjoining Karnataka plateau.
We buy tamarind directly at Hindupur during peak arrivals, before the lots move to Ahmedabad for processing and packing. Buying at the source market means the widest choice of lots and no trader margin between the farmer and our customer, which is how we hold both quality and price.
